Maxim & Bulldogs give RIDBC kids fun-filled afternoon

Last week saw Bulldogs stars Tim Winitana, Gary Warburton and Michael Sullivan meet with some of the club's biggest fans. The children from the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children's RIDBC, Thomas Pattison School, met their Canterbury footy heroes thanks to Bulldogs Major Sponsor Maxim Home Loans and the Parklands Foundation.

One of RIDBC's many services for children with sensory impairment, the RIDBC Thomas Pattison School is a school from Kindergarten to Year 10 for children who are profoundly deaf and use Australian Sign Language (Auslan) to communicate.

The Bulldogs players devoted their afternoon alongside club major sponsor Maxim Home Loans by mingling, sharing their knowledge of the game and playing footy with their fans from the RIDBC at Wentworth Common, Sydney Olympic Park.

After a disappointing season on the pitch for the club, Michael Sullivan reassured one ardent fan that his beloved Bulldogs would be back to winning ways next term: "Next season we have some top players coming in as reinforcements. Brett Kimmorley and Josh Morris are strong additions as well as some great youngsters coming through. We'll be a force to be reckoned with."

Speaking about the day itself, Tim Winitana said: "It was a fantastic day out with the kids and to see them smiling and enjoying their footy made it all worthwhile."

Maxim Home Loans Director John Kandylas echoed Winitana's sentiment: "Working alongside a wonderful charity like the RIDBC gives us great satisfaction and as a Bulldogs partner, we're extremely proud to give back to the community. Maxim will continually work alongside national charities."
